Not all stone countertops are created equal…

marble and granite slabs IndianapolisAre you unsure of which surface would be the best for your application and design? We can help!

Our staff will sit down with you, review your project and help determine the best surface for your design and application. Not all stone surfaces are created equal. Some are better suited for specific applications like being outside, or resistance to stains and moisture.

We have the knowledge and experience to help determine the best surface to meet your specific needs. Below is a list of some of the surfaces we offer. Come browse our extensive selection of slabs of marble, granite, or quartz. We offer both sales and installation services though Indianapolis and surrounding counties.

Granite

Granite’s beautiful natural colors and patterns as well as near diamond-hard surface makes granite an ideal material for countertops. Granite is resistant to heat, scratches and stains. Protects wet areas against mold and mildew.

Quartzite

Quartzite, which is predominantly silica, is a hard non-foliated metamorphic rock which was originally sandstone. Sandstone is converted into quartzite through heating and pressure related to tectonic compression. Its siliceous nature makes it a perfect choice for kitchen countertops because chemically it has a very high resistance to anything acidic. This natural stone is considered an affordable solution to many projects.

Marble

Marble is a popular choice of different countertop materials, and has been a sign of luxury and prestige for centuries. Commercially, any stone that can be polished is also known as marble, with the exception of granite. This includes serpentine, travertine, limestone and onyx.

Dolomite

Unlike granite or quartzite, dolomite is a sedimentary rock, which forms naturally when limestone comes in contact with magnesium-rich groundwater and undergoes a chemical change. It comes in shades of white or gray, and usually contains streaks that allow it to resemble marble better than quartzite. This is significant because although dolomite is not quite as hard as granite, it is still much harder than marble, making it a more scratch- and chip-resistant option.
